Read: Very unusually for me, I read a non-fiction book called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, having found it on the New York Bestsellers list. I want to go more into this book eventually, but let's just say I've thrown out several bin bags full of things that I no longer needed to keep. I'm a huge hoarder and I'm still working on de-cluttering, but my wardrobe has transformed and I am so much happier for it!
As for fiction, I read I Let You Go by Claire Mackintosh and was sorely disappointed. Sub-par writing, lacklustre plot... a real meh of a read, much like the Girl on The Train was (for me). I need some page-turner suggestions, please!
Watched: Inside Out, the new Pixar movie! I loved it so much - probably only second to Up, which is still my all time favourite.
Ate: It has to be Barrafina and E's dessert! I'm still dreaming about both.
Purchased: I scored a couple of great pieces from Whistles in the sale (worth waiting for the final markdown!) - I can never quite swallow their prices usually, so I always make a beeline for them during the sales and get pretty excited if I find something good!
Clicked: - Not Quite Enough, a fantastic blog by Lisa, who I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times. Her photography is stunning, her content is always interesting and she's also really great company! This month, she's been writing about her trip to Dusseldorf, delicious bottomless brunch in Dalston, and tips on how to ace job interviews, which is valuable advice, coming from a lady with an impressive career. As a fellow Londoner, she's one of my go-to bloggers for restaurant reviews and ideas on what to do in the city - she's lovely and friendly, so please go over and say hi!
- The Girl Next Shore, written by a good friend of mine, Honey. I've got to know Honey quite well over the past few months, and she is as intelligent, interesting and fun as she seems on her blog. I love her natural style of writing, her fresh approach to blogging about her life and adventures, and of course, she's my kind of foodie! From travel photo diaries (Brighton & St. Tropez this month) to restaurant reviews (highlights include the Jar Kitchen and Dehesa) and more personal experiences, she manages to write every post with honesty and flair. Her blog is definitely one to add to your reading list right now.
-SilverSpoon London. When does Angie ever not have a fabulous month?! Her luxury highlights have included an Oskia Facial at One Aldwych and a Laurent-Perrier lunch at Claridge's, her travel posts featuring Melbourne and South Africa have me wildly wanderlusting as always, and the deliciousness at Señor Ceviche and l'Anima have been a couple of my favourite restaurant reviews from her this month. If you're looking for a little glamour, foodie adventures or travel inspiration, Angie is your lady.
Listened: I'm still as obsessed with podcasts as ever. I recently discovered Gilmore Guys, a podcast where two guys talk about each episode of the Gilmore Girls, one of my all time favourite TV shows. It's light-hearted, entertaining and I just think it's a very fun idea!
Ran: 54.4km. Woohoo! I met my goal of doing 50K this month which makes me quite happy. My speed hasn't been great, so I'm hoping to work on that a little bit, but to be honest I don't run to be fast so I'm not sure I have the right attitude to improve much!
I've also loved ClassPass this month, and took a lot of classes. My favourite studios have been Form (Notting Hill), HIIT Gym (Richmond) and GymClass (Holland Park), as well as the usual pilates and barre classes that I enjoy.
Blogged: My more personal post on positivity.
Cooked: I always love fish and seafood, but I probably eat more of it at home during summertime, and I love baking them in foil like I did the other day - so easy and tasty!
Celebrated: 2 years since E and I were legally married. Such special memories.
Thank you so much for reading!
